Vaccination
- Vaccinations in the vaccination booklet are “represented” by a vaccine sticker,
- Each vaccination has its own fields – date and REVACCINATION DATE.
VACCINATION AGAINST RABIES (R)
- Legally mandatory (nowadays every microchipped dog must automatically be vaccinated against rabies),
- Revaccination is usually after 1–3 years, depending on the vaccine,
- In the Czech Republic, this disease has been eradicated thanks to VACCINATION, but it is still present in many countries,
- It is TRANSMISSIBLE TO HUMANS and its mortality rate is 100%.
DHPPiL
- DHPPiL is a combined vaccine protecting against five diseases; distemper (D), infectious hepatitis (H), parvovirus (P), parainfluenza (Pi), and leptospirosis (L),
- Distemper – a viral disease that can affect different organ systems depending on its form, and may result in permanent consequences or even death,
- Infectious hepatitis – a viral disease affecting the liver, causing abdominal pain, apathy, and fever,
- Parvovirus – extremely dangerous especially for puppies, in whom it often ends fatally; causes severe bloody diarrhea,
- Parainfluenza – a viral respiratory disease causing coughing and runny nose,
- Leptospirosis – a bacterial disease TRANSMISSIBLE TO HUMANS, damaging the liver and kidneys.
KENNEL COUGH
- A highly contagious respiratory disease,
- Various causative agents,
- Coughing, gagging, runny nose, and fatigue,
- Spreads easily in environments with a higher concentration of dogs.
Although we carefully clean every day, unfortunately it is not possible to completely avoid diseases. We want dogs to meet and play together here, and most diseases are contagious already at a time when no symptoms have yet appeared. We therefore kindly ask you to keep all vaccinations up to date. By doing so, you help protect not only your own dog, but also our entire dog community 🐶
